Samsung at high selling point Sep 10
Is Samsung selling like a hot cake? Seems so.. News is: Samsung has shipped 20 million Galaxy S3 handsets in last 100 days. Some news to flaunt, huh? (And flaunting they are). Selling 200,000 units per day, this smarty is flying off the shelves 3 times faster than Galaxy S2. It is also stiffing up the competition for Apple (who was obviously busy designing iPhone 5, slated to release on Sep 12).
Apple has shipped 26 million of iPhones in the second quarter, and Samsung sold 50.5 million handsets. Needless to mention, the huge profit that Samsung is going to see ($5.86 billion quarterly profit). Rumor has it, the reason for the deterioration in the sales of Apple is because fans are actually waiting for iPhone 5 (Honest!).
When Samsung revealed their regional sales data, we could paint the picture. About 6 million S3 were sold in Europe, 4.5 million in Asia, 4 million in North America and 2.5 million in Korea. When asked what the company thought that contributed to the popularity of Samsung Galaxy S3, and those whooping sales figures, they said, it’s the 4.8 inches HD Super AMOLED display (and funnily, not the legal battle). The phone also features Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich (ICS), Samsung’s Touchwiz user interface, a snappy quad-core processor, an 8MP rear-facing camera and a pretty decent battery life.
Way to Go !!
